Transform your walls on a budget

I’ve recently refreshed my kitchen walls and painted them white. We had red walls for at least 7 years and it really needed painting over as the paint was chipping and I was getting tired of the red paint. There’s only so much you can do with red and only so much you can take.

I’ve not yet decided how I want my kitchen, I’m thinking barn style decor so the white walls have given me a blank canvas to work on.

Now, the walls look TOO bland! Our kitchen is quite long and we have large walls that I have never known what to do with. I thought that a few prints in frames would break it down a little but looking online at the prices I was certain that I could do them myself for less……so I did.

What did I use?

Big frames was always a must but I was only limited to printed on A4 and I found these perfect frames in ASDA for £3.50 each, they allowed me to pop in an A4 print with an A3 mount and frame so that was ideal (If you have the ability to print A3 these would also be great as you could remove the mount)

I printed off a variety of prints and laid them out to decide which ones I liked the most. After much debating and switching, I decided on three prints I liked and popped them in the frames.

I am so pleased with how they turned out. I think they look like stylish professional prints. What do you think? It’s a really simple but effective way to brighten up a dull wall. They have so many more prints on Pinterest for all sorts of rooms so why not have a good look round and see what suits you.
