Warm Home Discount Scheme – Applications Now Open

The scheme was introduced by the Government in April 2011 and administered by energy suppliers. The discount is provided to eligible customers as a payment credited to their energy account, or as a £140 credit on their prepayment card or key, during the winter.

Remember, even if you had had the Warm Home Discount before, you still need to re-apply EVERY YEAR. It is not an automatic process so don’t miss out.

When will I receive my payment?

If you are eligible and have been accepted for the discount. You will usually receive the payment between September- March. The money is not paid to you, it is usually added as a credit onto your bill/account/ pre-payment meter. In some cases, you may be sent a voucher to take with you when you next top up your meter.
