A bike is an expensive purchase at Christmas but where do you store it? Halfords have this all worked out.

See a bike you like on the shelf? You can then pay a £10 deposit to reserve the bike and they will store it for you until an agreed collection date.

You can choose to pay the remainder of the balance on collection of the bike or pay by instalments which are suited to you.

Ring Video Doorbell Review

About a month or so ago, I contacted Ring UK to ask if I could review their video doorbell device. They were extremely kind enough to send me a device and a chime doorbell in return for my honest review.  Below are my thoughts on the device based on what I have experienced so far. Please keep in mind that anything I review on this blog is given honest feedback both good & bad based on my experience. Here is my review on the Ring Video Doorbell.

I was sent the device and really couldn’t wait to start using it. I eagerly opened my parcel and pulled out all of the contents. On first glance, it all looked a bit overwhelming and I did wonder if I would actually be able to install all of this myself but in fact, it was all too easy.

Now, I have to say that Ring has scored additional bonus points with me….They have actually thought of EVERYTHING! Not only do they provide plates to mount your ring device on angels i.e if you live at the top of some stairs or on an angle, you can mount the device to the angled plates, they provide all the necessary screws but here’s where the bonus points come in….They provided me with the drill bit, a mini spirit level and a screwdriver! So you don’t need to go hunting in your garage or shed for the right tools! 10 brownie points for you Ring!!

Kidzania Review

kidzania logo

On Thursday 8th March I had the opportunity to visit Kidzania with my 7-year-old daughter. Kidzania is located inside of the Westfield shopping centre in London.

KidZania is a safe and secure space for your kids to independently explore and learn all about the real world and is designed for children aged between 4 – 14. Having watched other families visit and vlogging it on their YouTube channel it was a place that we were both excited to visit.

On arrival, we made our way to the top floor where the ‘check-in’ desk is located, this is where you deal with entry into the attraction. The ticket is designed to mimic a British Airways plane ticket and it really feels like you are inside an airport especially with the nose of a giant British Airways plane sticking out of the wall.

Gett Taxi Review and why I won’t use Uber again.

GETT FEATURE

I was the biggest fan of Uber purely because of the ease of getting a Taxi using an app on your phone and I didn’t need to carry cash. Since Uber has been axed in London and as a frequent visitor to London I was on the lookout for a similar app/company. This is when I found out about Gett.

Using Coupons & Discount Codes to reduce your Supermarket Shop

What is Couponing?

Couponing is a term used when a ticket or document is exchanged at a checkout point at shops, supermarkets, outlets and in some cases online (there may be a code on the coupon to redeem online). The coupon you present can be exchanged for a financial discount or rebate when purchasing the item listed on the coupon. In most cases, there are almost always T’s & C’s to adhere to when using coupons so please ensure that you read them carefully to avoid any disappointment or embarrassment at the checkout.

Where can I find coupons?

There are a wide variety of places to find coupons however it is probably in your best interest to invest in a printer as the best ones are usually printable. For the printable coupons, you will be prompted to download a ‘coupon printer’ add-on/programme which is perfectly normal and takes just a few seconds. You will not be able to print your coupons without that download.

For online and printable coupons I would first start with a simple google search. I often search for “print coupon”, “download coupon” or any other keywords that would suggest a website where there might be a coupon.

Depending on the time I have available I would usually then search through my favourite brands Facebook page. This will sometimes show you if they have any offers, coupons or even competitions.

Then I hit my favourite dedicated coupon sites (Click on the website name to be taken directly to the site) These are:

SuperSavvyMe

Victoria

Caring Everyday

Other useful websites for discount codes are Vouchercloud and Voucher codes

Vouchercloud is brilliant as an app on your phone as it will alert you to an offer whenever it registers that you are near an outlet that has an offer on, this includes restaurants and bars also.

Writing to manufacturers has also been known to be a success. It’s not something I have personally done yet due to lack of time but I will be doing this is 2018. Simply make a list of your favourite brands and drop them an email. Some people have gone with the subtle approach by simply expressing your gratitude to the company and ‘hoping’ they get sent coupons in return, others have suggested the more direct approach and asking directly for coupons so that they can try the full range etc. The worst they can say is no and from what I know, that doesn’t happen very often. Brands can very easily be contacted via social media especially Facebook but if you visit the company website directly you will often find a direct Email address. I prefer to write directly to a company using pen and paper but will only do this if a company has a Freepost address. There is no point me forking out for a stamp for the sake of a coupon!

Magazines & Leaflets In particular in-store magazines such as Tesco, Sainsbury, Boots usually all have coupons in their store magazines. I usually pick these up before I start my shop and have a quick look through.

What type of coupons are available?
